What Recession? The problem with foreigners buying houses or land in Thailand is they can't 'legally' own it. The property would have to go into your Thai wife's name or Thai partner's name and then there could be problems if a divorce or a split up arose. Very high risk indeed!!! Would you take the risk? The graphic apparition, replacing the traditional fish tank, is also a nod to the decreasing abundance of our most precious natural resource - water. Mythologically, the carp symbolises bravery and fortune.
